Influencer marketing is a form of social-media marketing focused on lifestyle and travel brands, but also general marketers who wanted to reach larger audiences via social media. It’s measured by engagement: likes, followers, comments, etc. But, recently Facebook announced their idea to test a like-less Instagram.
How Does This Work?
Facebook has an idea to completely remove the ‘like’ option for all users. Without likes, brands, influencers and marketers will no longer be able to tell what’s popular and what’s not based off of engagement.
What Should Influencers and Marketers Do?
In order to have a successful Instagram marketing strategy in an age of no likes or engagement, brand will have to implement and use certain marketing tools to monitor metrics to understand the success of their creatives. Click-through rates and overall performance will be key indicators.
What Should Your Strategy Consist Of?
If the new like-less Instagram runs successful, your new social media marketing strategy should include: more interactive content, a more niche brand image, tagging to sell products in their static image posts and more quality content.
Although this like-less Instagram is not set to launch anytime soon, your strategy is something certainly to consider.
